Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your word. Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law. The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.

Nun נ: Never-Ending Confidence in God’s Word
By Jennifer Kane
It’s dark outside, yet I step forward, unafraid.
So many words could describe my walk—
I could stroll, or saunter, or amble,
I could trudge, or wander, or roam.
But God has shown me how I should walk:
With purpose, with faith, with humility, in His light.
His Word is a lamp, never dim, never failing.
It does not shroud the path in shadow,
Nor leave me lost in confusion.
It is a book of light, guiding my steps,
A beacon in the night.
I once feared the dark, believing every step was perilous,
Afraid of being alone.
But then I saw—my Father was near,
Close enough to lift me in His arms.
He hears my cries, answers with love,
And places in my hands a lantern—
His truth, bright enough to chase away every fear.
Keep my feet from stumbling, Lord,
Guard my heart from wandering,
Lead me through gardens and groves,
Even when the path winds through valleys.
For where there is no willingness, there can be no acceptance.
Where there is no fruit, there is no free grace at work.
Yet Your Word is true—I stand on its foundation:
The truth of a Triune God.
The truth of Christ, fully God and fully man.
The truth of my sin and my need for redemption.
The truth of Jesus’ death—His love poured out to save.
The truth of the Spirit, leading me to faith.
The truth of the Church, the gathered family of believers.
The truth of Christ’s return, the resurrection of the dead.
How can I endure to the end?
Because the same God who sustains me for one step
Will uphold me for every step, until the very last.
This land—this kingdom—is mine!
I look upon the heavens and earth,
On all that is and all that is to come,
And I declare with certainty:
All things are mine in Christ.
My title as God’s daughter is more sure
Than any earthly inheritance.

Scripture: Psalm 119:105-112
Life can often feel like a winding path through an unfamiliar landscape. Sometimes, we walk confidently, seeing the way ahead clearly. Other times, we stumble in the darkness, unsure of our next step. In those moments of uncertainty, God’s Word becomes our guiding light. It doesn’t always illuminate the entire journey, but it gives us just enough light to take the next step with faith.
Confidence in God’s Word requires commitment. I don’t just read God’s commands—I want to commit to following them. Obedience is not always easy, especially when life is hard, but it is in those moments of struggle that I must cling to His promises even more.
Have you made the decision to trust God’s Word no matter what? When challenges arise, will you lean on His truth or waver?
I’m no stranger to suffering. Yet, instead of losing heart, I find renewal in God’s promises. When I face trials, I, too, can find strength in His Word. It is a wellspring of life, reviving my weary soul and reminding me that God is always faithful.
If you are struggling today, take a moment to reflect on God’s promises. He sees your pain, and His Word is your source of renewal.
Living by God’s Word doesn’t mean life will be easy. In fact, I will face opposition, temptation, and even persecution. But confidence in God’s Word means standing firm despite the challenges. When others question or mock my faith, I can hold fast to His truth, knowing that His Word is unchanging.
Are you willing to trust God’s Word even when it’s unpopular? Ask Him for the boldness to stand firm in faith.
I don’t just see God’s Word as rules to follow—I treasure it as my most valuable possession. God’s Word is not a burden but a blessing, a source of joy and life. When I embrace Scripture as my heritage, I find a deep and lasting confidence that carries me through every season of life.
What place does God’s Word hold in your heart? Is it your greatest treasure?
My confidence in God’s Word isn’t temporary—it is a commitment that will last “to the end.” If I want to have never-ending confidence in God’s Word, I must make the same decision: to trust Him not just today, but for all my days to come.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word, which lights my path and gives me confidence in every step. Help me to trust Your guidance, find strength in Your promises, and stand firm in faith. May Your Word be the joy of my heart, leading me forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
