“For All You Have Given”

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
—Psalm 139:13-14

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
—-Lamentations 3:22-23

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
—-2 Corinthians 5:17

For All You Have Given
By Jennifer Kane

Lord, I breathe in—grace.
Life itself, a gift placed in my hands,
not mine to demand, yet freely given,
a rhythm of heartbeats known only to You.

I lift my eyes, and color fills my world—
deep blues of longing,
golden hues of joy,
quiet grays of days You carry me through.
Each shade, a whisper of Your artistry.

I taste, I savor—
honeyed laughter among friends,
warm bread at my family’s table,
the spice of moments that wake my soul.
Each flavor, a reminder: You are good.

Time moves, and I feel—
the weight of sorrow, the lift of love,
the quiet ache of waiting,
the wild rush of hope.
Emotions I cannot tame, yet You hold them all.

Music rises, words take shape,
breath weaves meaning into prayer.
Songs of praise and silent sighs alike
find their way to Your ears.

And in all of this—You remain.
Sovereign, steady, holy.
Wisdom beyond my grasp,
goodness beyond my deserving,
love beyond my understanding.

I walk forward, eyes fixed on the joy set before me,
feet steady in the comfort of Your presence.
For all You have given, seen and unseen,
Lord, I give thanks.
Let my life be Yours—
a canvas for the colors of Your grace.

Scriptures: Psalm 139:13-14, Lamentations 3:22-23, 2 Corinthians 5:17

Today, I celebrate the life that God has given me. He formed me with care, gave me breath, and has carried me through every moment, both joyful and challenging. Every heartbeat, every sunrise, and every relationship in my life is a testimony of His goodness.

But beyond the gift of physical life, I am most grateful for the new life I have in Jesus Christ. Through Him, I have been redeemed, transformed, and given a purpose beyond what I could ever achieve on my own. He has washed away my sins, renewed my spirit, and called me His own.

Birthdays are a time to reflect—not just on the years gone by but on the faithfulness of God through every season. His mercies are new every morning, and He has given me a future filled with hope. Today, I choose gratitude. I choose to rejoice in the love of my Creator and in the grace of my Savior.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of life and for the new life I have in Christ. You have guided me, protected me, and poured out Your love upon me. Help me to always walk in gratitude, knowing that every moment I have is an opportunity to glorify You. May this year be one of deeper faith, greater joy, and unwavering trust in Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
