“To Him Be The Honor”

And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
—Revelation 5:9-14

Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

To Him Be the Honor
By Jennifer Kane

I will worship my LORD with honor
I will stand in awe of His glory
The LORD my God is filled with power
His hands alone are worthy to bestow justice
In all that is only my Lord Jesus is worthy
For it is in He alone in whom I found my savior!

And Oh! What a wonderful savior!
For He alone is the fullness of honor
Only He deserves my worship! He is worthy!
In Jesus, my God, is the fullness of glory.
He is worthy to bestow both mercy and justice,
He is the Alpha Omega – beginning and complete power.

The name of LORD Jesus is filled with power
He conquered death and slayed it as the savior
He is perfect in holiness and perfect in justice
I am grateful over his mercy and resplendent honor
Only my Lord deserves an eternity of glory
The only one who is perfect is Him – he is worthy

My God who was slain for my sin is worthy
He is worthy to receive riches and power
He is worthy to receive respect and glory
The Lamb of God is the blessed and worthy savior
He is worthy to be bestowed praise and honor
He will eternally reign with mercy and justice!

You, my God will bring to this world perfect justice
You O Lord created it all and are the only one worthy
It is for Your pleasure, my existence to You be the honor
You are Lord God Almighty. You have all the power
But you still are my Prince of Peace, My kingly savior
May all my heart and soul and mind bring you glory.

I have felt you stir my soul and yearn to see your glory
I have tasted your mercy instead of deserved justice.
You came out from heaven and came as a savior
To only You, I dedicate my life, you alone are worthy
O Jesus my loving and living God, come quickly in power
and let my life show it is You that I honor

To God be the Glory – He my Lord is worthy,
He bestows perfect justice – He is mighty in power,
Mercifully he is my Savior – To Him be the Honor!

Scriptures: Revelation 5:9-14, Psalm 96:9

We live in a world that honors many things—success, strength, self—but all we need to celebrate is the One who is truly worthy of honor: the Lord God Almighty. When we worship Him, we’re not just singing songs; we’re acknowledging His holiness and supremacy in every area of life.

Jesus Christ is not just a man or a prophet—He is the fullness of God in human form. In Him is power, glory, and the ability to bestow both mercy and justice. This fullness means He is enough—not just for salvation, but for every part of our lives.

We celebrate Jesus as the Lamb who was slain, who conquered death and reigns eternally. The cross is both judgment and mercy in one moment. Because He rose, we live.

Our Creator is not distant—He is also our Prince of Peace. His power is not abusive, but restorative. His will for creation includes peace, purpose, and worship.

There is a deep yearning in me that every believer knows: to see the Lord, to be with Him, and to reflect His glory through a life fully surrendered. This is not a fearful anticipation—but one of deep love.

What does your heart long for most? Can you lay it at Jesus’ feet?

~~~~~
Lord Jesus, You are worthy. Worthy of all honor, all power, all glory. You are the Lamb who was slain, and my risen Savior. Your justice is perfect, Your mercy astounding. Let my life be a living poem of praise— A daily act of worship that reflects Your worth. Come quickly, Lord Jesus, and be glorified in me. Amen.
