Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Homemade by Heaven
By Jennifer Kane
I see the goodness of God
in the way she rises early,
quietly giving thanks
before the day even asks it of her.
She doesn’t need a stage
to serve with gladness.
She simply does—
again and again.
She walks into each day
like she’s entering His courts—
with joy in her step,
gratitude in her breath,
a melody of trust always humming beneath her words.
God made her.
Not just in form,
but in purpose—
He shaped her spirit with care,
threaded faith into her bones,
and crowned her with compassion
that never runs dry.
Her hands—
so many times lifting,
healing, holding,
sometimes worn,
never idle.
They are the hands that carried my childhood,
fed the hungry,
tended the weary,
and still reach for those in need.
Her heart beats with a rhythm
only Heaven could compose.
Steady.
Patient.
Full of truth and tenderness.
She doesn’t need applause
to know she’s fulfilling her call.
She knows the Lord is God.
She knows she is His.
And because of that,
she gives.
And I—
I thank You, God,
for letting me call her “Mom.”
For teaching me through her
what it means to be Yours.
Let my life be a reflection
of the love I’ve seen in hers.

Scripture: Psalm 100:1-5
On this Mother’s Day, I pause in grateful praise—not only for who my mother is to me, but for who she is in God. Psalm 100 calls us to worship the Lord with gladness, to come before Him with joyful songs, and to recognize a beautiful truth: “It is He who made us.”
My mom was made by God—crafted by His hands with intention, love, and purpose. He shaped her into someone strong, wise, and full of compassion. Her heart is steady in faith, her hands never tire of giving, and her spirit shines with the quiet confidence of one who knows her Maker.
When I see my mom care for others—through a word of encouragement, a meal shared, a burden carried—I’m reminded of how deeply God cares for us. Her life reflects the very heart of Psalm 100: serving the Lord with gladness, entering His gates with thanksgiving, and bringing joy into the lives of everyone she touches.
I thank God not just because she is my mom, but because she is a woman who walks with Him. In a world that often wavers, her steadfastness in faith is a shelter. In times of struggle, her strength has lifted me. And in every season, her example of godly love has helped shape who I am.
Today, I celebrate the mother God gave me. And I worship the One who made her.

Father, thank You for my mom. Thank You for creating her with such care, filling her with love, strength, and faith. Help me honor her not just today, but every day, by walking in the example of gratitude and grace she has shown me. May I learn from her how to serve You with gladness and reflect Your love to others. In your name Jesus, I pray, Amen.
