“Trusting in God’s Plan”

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
—Jeremiah 29:11-14

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
—Romans 8:28-31

Trusting in God’s Plan
By Jennifer Kane

In the silence of the night I stand,
Not knowing the workings of Your hand.
Yet in my heart, Your whispers rise,
“Trust in Me and seek no lies.”

You hold the blueprint of my days,
Guiding me through unknown ways.
“I know the plans I have for you,”
Plans of hope, both strong and true.

When trials press and fears abound,
Your voice, O Lord, is what I’ve found.
“For those who love Me, good will come,”
In every storm, Your will is done.

No force can stand when You decree,
“If God is for you, who can be?”
So I release tomorrow’s cares,
For in Your hands, my soul is spared.

Scriptures: Jeremiah 29:11-14, Romans 8:28-31

In the quiet hours of life—when our prayers seem to echo unanswered and the road ahead feels hidden—God invites us to trust Him. Not with part of our hearts, but with all of them. We may not know the steps, but we know the Shepherd.

We are reminded that even when we do not see the full picture, God holds the blueprint of our lives. His plans are not random; they are purposeful, hopeful, and full of grace.

When fears rise and troubles press in, we can cling to His promises. Romans 8:28 assures us that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” This isn’t a promise of comfort without conflict, but of divine purpose in the midst of every challenge.

God’s voice calms the storm—not always by removing it, but by reminding us who is in control. If He is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) We don’t need to fear the future because our lives are held in the hands of the One who shaped eternity.

Take time this week to surrender one area of your life where you’ve been holding on too tightly—whether it’s a decision, a fear, or a future plan. Write a prayer of release, acknowledging God’s sovereignty and your desire to trust Him fully. Then read Jeremiah 29:11-14 aloud each morning as a declaration of faith.

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for Your faithful promises. I trust in Your plans, even when I cannot see the path ahead. Teach me to trust in You with all my heart, to lean not on my understanding, but to rely fully on Your wisdom. I thank You, Lord, that You work all things for the good of those who love You, and I believe You are always working for my good. When fear and doubt try to creep in, remind me of Your mighty hand, that no one can stand against me because You are for me. Help me not to worry about the future but to find peace in Your presence, knowing that tomorrow is secure in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
